Lee Eun Kyung Solo Exhibition – Pleasure in heritage garden
그동안 많은 작업의 모티브가 되어 온 집, 문, 의자....는 혼자만의 사색과 편안한 휴식을 의미하는 동시에 세상과의 단절을 의미 한다.
문을 넘어 건너편에 보이는 또 다른 세상은 누구도 방해하지 않는
나만이 그려낸 상상의 정원.
시간과 공간, 나라와 인종, 문화에 그려진 경계를 넘어 또 다른 세상에 대한 동경과 탐닉에서 시작된 여행의 시작은 한국의 오랜 전통에 담겨온
지속적인 문화유산이 주는 인스피레이션(inspiration)일지도 모른다.
전통문화에 대한 애정과 그 속에서 근원을 찾아
다시 새로운 세상에 담아내기 위한 융합과 확장의 길에 서있다.
헤리티지의 가치를 함께 누릴 수 있는 기쁨과 여유로운 사색의 시간이 되길.
The house, door, and chair that have been the motif of many of my artistic works have symbolized solitary contemplation and comfortable rest, and at the same time, disconnection from the world. Beyond the ornate gate, you will see another world, a garden of imagination where no one will disturb you.
The beginning of a journey that begins with longing for and indulging in another world beyond the boundaries drawn by time, space, country, race, and culture may be the inspiration given by the continuous cultural heritage contained in Korea's long tradition. We are on the path of convergence and expansion to find the love for traditional culture and its roots, and to bring it back to the new world. I hope it will be a time of Pleasure and leisurely
contemplation where you can enjoy the value of heritage together.
